The Sava Turizem Group realised over 1,112,000 overnight stays in 2015, which is a 4% improvement on the previous year, thereby increasing sales revenues by 5%. Last year the Group generated sales revenues of €65.4 million, or €3.1million more year-on-year. The Sava Turizem Group generated EBITDA of €13.9 million in 2015, thereby improving the 2014 result by €2.7 million. In addition, the net profit increased compared to 2014. All of the aforementioned achievements are due to the successful implementation of the new strategy adopted in 2012. While in 2011, EBITDA totalled €6.9 million, it rose to €13.9 million in 2015.
Strong sales in low season and high summer season, the effects resulting from the optimisation of business processes defined and performed during the past years, investments, improved productivity, innovative products, intense employee engagement and great customer focus are the key factors contributing to these excellent results.
In 2015, the number of overnight stays in hotels and apartments reached the record level. At the level of Sava Turizem, sales revenues increased in all priority markets: Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Germany, the overseas countries, Eastern Europe, and the Balkans. In the spa business run by Sava Turizem, the share of both foreign and domestic guests increased in 2015.
Sava Turizem is now continuing to pursue its successful business. In January, overnights in hotels and apartments increased by almost 4.5% and in campsites by almost 17 %. Good occupancy rates are expected also in February, particularly during Valentine’s Day weekend and winter holidays.
