Sava Worker of 2009

Already Marko's parents and other relatives worked at Sava. Vido Marko, assembler and dispatcher of EKO products was employed with Sava 32 years ago, after he finished primary school. Owing to his diligent and model work he was reassigned to the adhesives mixing unit. Ever since 1991 he has been working at the so-called volume products such as rubber dams, weirs, tanks and gas containers.
Despite his severe back injury in 1996 he returned to work already after several months and worked with an even greater zeal. At that time he assumed the task of assembling and dispatching the EKO products. Reliability, diligence and honesty are his features, owing to which he plays a role model to his younger co-workers. He searches for improvements and put them into practice. Vido Marko is an associate that every supervisor wish to have in their teams.

Irma Žunič loves tidiness and flowers. She is an educated florist and a very successful head of chamber-maids team in the health resort Radenci. For 28 years she took care of tidiness and cleanliness, while during the past seven years she has been in charge of coordinating its team. She is a great organiser of work, always searching for the best solutions possible and loves to listen to proposals by her colleagues.
She shows much creativity at her work and her love for beautiful things combined with her professional skills in every step; magnificent floral arrangements to brighten the atmosphere and improve guests wellbeing.

Jovan Marković has been employed with Sava's programme Conveyor Belts for 37 years, either in building-up, vulcanisation or dispatching.
He has always achieved the above-average results. He has always been focusing on the quality of products, efficiency, tidiness of a work place and respect for his colleagues.
Thanks to his knowledge, experiences and transfer of skills to his associates, persistence and devotion to work he has successfully liaised in analysing and resolving failures that appeared in semi-products, finished goods, technology procedures or machinery.
He understands and meets additional demands and is of innovative spirit, thereby showing his strong loyalty to the Conveyor Belts programme. Owing to his personal values, positive attitude towards work and associates he acts as a role model to all employees. We are happy and proud that we have him in our team.

Sonja Kranjc has been in the catering industry with all her heart and soul for 28 years. When the hotel Primus was opened she was entrusted with managing restaurant's waiting service. She carries out her work professionally, honestly, responsibly and impeccably. Guests often commend her, particularly for her friendliness and obligingness. Her associates appreciate her as she always behaves respectfully and politely, and she often tells them that she is very proud of them.   She is open to novelties and willingly transfers her knowledge to her young co-workers and interns. Her motto is: one is never too old to learn something new.

Gabi is the soul of the hotel's Lipa reception desk. Her positive energy and kind smile are overwhelming and make all guests feel they are most welcome. Her calmness, professional attitude and readiness to help others - even beyond her field of work - are her main strong points.
Gabi is appreciated by guests and colleagues. She gets a lot of commendations from guests. She listens to their wishes and tries to oblige them. Her personal charm certainly makes a great contribution to guest satisfaction and loyalty. She is a thorough and responsible person, she always strives for enhancing sales and takes care for a pleasant atmosphere among her associates. She is fond of culture and beautiful things.

Mitja Koman is one of the old Sava's people who simply loves his work. He graduated from mechanical engineering and has been employed with Sava since 1982, in the past 20 years as a head of project realisation who successfully combines managerial and professional knowledge. At his work he is precise, conscientious and demanding, firstly towards himself and also to his colleagues. He does not stop until the task is finished. He always acts for the benefit of the company, though at times to his own detriment.
Mitja Koman is not only a mechanical engineer who successfully performs his tasks; he is a person who knows how to listen to his associates and friends, understands a person in distress and is always ready to help, he is therefore highly respected and popular. He is a good mentor and transfers his rich experiences to his younger associates.

Vesna Muravec graduated from history and history of art and has been working at Sava for 24 years. Now she acts as the assistant director in the competence centre Corporate Communications. In the restructuring period of Sava she was the propelling power and manager of its corporate image. She is a successful editor of annual reports and numerous others printed publications. In the past decades, Sava's annual reports reached the Slovene top in terms of profession, contents and aesthetics.
The development and updating Sava's website, recognisability of the Sava Group and its companies are another of her merits.
