New Management of Sava Hotels Bled Appointed as Part of the Merging Process of Sava's Tourism Division

Bled, 3 October 2011 – On 1 October the new Management Board of Sava Hoteli Bled d.d., which had been appointed by the Supervisory Board of the company at its meeting held on 20 September,   began  its office. In accordance with the adopted strategy of the Sava Group, the Management Board will assume managing the combined tourist offer and the Tourism division as well.

The new three-member Management Board of Sava Hoteli Bled d.d. consists of President Andrej Prebil and Members Renata Balažic and Borut Simonič. The office of Fedja Pobegajlo and Tamara Zajc, who until this day acted as Management Board President and Member, was terminated by common consent, and as of 1 October they continue their office as executive director and deputy executive director of the destination.

Appointing the new Management Board in Bled is one of the steps on the path of merging the Tourism division as set out in the strategy of the Sava Group supported by the Supervisory Board of Sava d.d. The new Management Board will namely assume managing of the joined company and, accordingly,  the Tourism division, which presently is still managed by Antonija Pirc, MSc. In the transition period, the new Management Board will carry out all needed activities to form such an organisational structure of the joined company, which will secure successful performance of the division to the greatest extent possible; in doing this, it will fully cooperate with the management teams of all tourist companies and their associates.  The transition to a new management model will thus run smoothly and well-coordinated.

The merger of tourist companies will take place by joining the companies Terme Ptuj d.o.o., Terme 3000 d.o.o., Zdravilišče Radenci d.o.o., and Terme Lendava d.o.o., to Sava Hoteli Bled, d.d.,  in January 2012 at the latest, when the merger will be entered in the register of companies.  The new company will get a new name, which has not yet been designed, and the destinations will be equal to one another.  After this merger, the office of executive director will be established in all other destinations too; executive directors will in the first place be in charge of effective performance of destinations, assuring the quality of services and increasing guest satisfaction.  Furthermore, certain common processes in destinations will be optimised and rationalised, the utilisation of synergetic effects in marketing and sales will be improved, and uniform business standards to achieve higher service quality in all processes will be introduced.  However, the merger will not cause revenues to outflow from destinations as tourist tax and a part of personal income tax from paid salaries will remain in the local environment.
